Maine Answers Tough Times (Maine Answers Tough Times is a new feature initiated by the Maine State Library in 2009 on its web site. The web links comprising Maine Answers Tough Times were selected for Maine residents who need help with employment and job training; housing, food or legal assistance; health care and insurance; and, credit and crisis counseling. Each web page link in Maine Answers Tough Times will lead directly to the web sites of State government agencies such as Career Centers, DirigoHealth, Maine State Housing Authority, and the Maine Department of Economic and Community Development. Each web page also includes a link to the State Library’s directory of Maine’s public libraries – very important organizations that are providing resources and ideas to help Maine get through tough times. Visitors to Maine Answers Tough Times can find contact information and public hours for their local libraries.
